Bay Meadows

Bay Meadows is an up and coming neighborhood located in San Mateo, CA.  Previously a racetrack from 1934-2008, Bay Meadows has been a Bay Area staple in the community for many generations.  Once the longest continuous running racetrack, now is a beautiful development filled with brand new housing opportunities.

Townhouses here are all easily accessible by Cal Train; so much so that many residents pride themselves in not even owning a car!  Everything you could want/need is locally accessible with Whole Foods and Hillsdale Mall just a stones throw away!  Janice Thacher, a partner at the site’s master developer Wilson Meany was quoted by the San Mateo Daily Journal stating:

“Transit-oriented development is a sensible way to accommodate the growth that’s happening in places such as the Bay Area. It provides alternatives to congested roads and helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions by getting cars off the road,” Thacher wrote. “The most desirable thing about walking and biking is seeing life and energy around — other people on the streets and sidewalks, which is why we are very excited to open our retail-focused Town Square in 2017 as it will truly be the center of the community.”

Bay Meadows prides itself on being a “modern urban village” combining the neighborhood feel of the suburbs with the diversity of a city.  Appealing to a wide spectrum of home-owners, Bay Meadows could be exactly what you’re looking for!
