The sweetest treats in all of the San Francisco Peninsula
Nothing says “holidays” like Christmas cookies.
Here in the SF Peninsula, there are plenty of businesses selling delicious and mouthwatering treats for the season. These sweet snacks make perfect gifts or warm indulgences on a cozy night-in. Whether you’re looking for a tin of seasonal snickerdoodles, buttery toffee cookies, or a classic sugar variation to dip in a glass of cold milk—there’s something for everyone. To help you out, we’ve rounded up a list of the best places to find the most magical cookies.
‘Tis the season!
Anthony’s Cookies
Craving some delicious organic cookies? Anthony’s Mission storefront showcases an array of homemade desserts and seasonal cookies—featuring the shop’s famous touch of cream-top milk.
Even more heartwarming than the cookies is Anthony’s story. Anthony Lucas was a student at San Francisco State University when he first began making cookies. An accounting and engineering major, these cookies soon became so popular among his classmates that he began selling them out of his car.
Today in his store, you can try his daily fresh-baked cookies for yourself. The famously gooey and chewy baked goods are made using all-organic ingredients and have gluten-free options as well.
Cinnamon Spice and Toffee Chip are daily cookie options that work well for a holiday treat. The Cinnamon Spice with Dark Chocolate, German Chocolate, and Candied Pecan Chip cookies are seasonal, so be on the lookout!

Cookie Love
This small and local business is known for its charming and colorful interior and yummy treats. The quaint bakery and counter features handcrafted fresh-from-the-oven cookies plus Sightglass coffee and tea. These cute and quirky cookies match the fun decor and cozy aesthetic, where they sit underneath beautiful glass and on colorful stands. The friendly service at Cookie Love is the cherry on top.
William C., a Local Guide on Google Reviews, said: “Their cookies taste like works of art. It's kinda sad when you eat the last bite of a new favorite cookie....until you go back to try another kind of cookie. I haven't had one yet that I didn't like.”
Another Local Guide named Avi said: “The cookies are good. Quite good. But I keep going back for the service.”
For the holidays, try the Triple Chocolate Decadence Cookie, Double Chocolate Cherry Cookie, Matcha Madness Cookie, Ginger Spice Cookie, or the Oatmeal Apricot Cookie.

Batter Bakery
Batter Bakery produces personal and small-batch cookies. The original bakery is a famed and stylized shop, but its Financial District kiosk downtown is the talk of the town. They are dedicated to making warm, tasty cookies and other handcrafted treats, including cupcakes, brownies, and bars.
Their famous Sand Angel Cookie has a cult following for its snickerdoodle and molasses taste, paired with a chewy and crispy balance. The Chocolate Mint and Cranberry Almond Rye are other fun holiday options as well.
Drop by the glass street kiosk from 3-6 p.m. for a daily cookie “happy hour” that features two goodies for $5. Batter Bakery also offers catering services and custom orders!
